Do you think these projects have unintended consequences on the small water cycle?
I would imagine that causing rain without the accompanying humidity would cause there to be less rain down wind?
The increase of green cover and trees to encourage evapotranspiration seems like a more viable way to increase precipitation patterns than cloud seeding.
If you take out humidity, it will probably lessen humidity downwind, so we do need to increase evapotranspiration in general…. On cloud seeding, I still have to learn more about it, to see if it has other adverse effects.
Another great read - wish I had known about 'flying rivers' when I was writing my biology textbooks. Have really enjoyed your posts this year, some quite a challenging read, but so informative and useful background to my understanding of what happens to water in my garden & farm. Thank you

Hi Alpha, I would love to hear your take on condensation nuclei and its effect on localized rainfall patterns as these reactants I think would also provide the catalyst for cloud formation and the activation of the biotic pump. Forest type and ocean nutrient circulation would then also play a pivotal role in rain creation. https://regenerate-earth.org/ Walter Jehne's talks about some of the sources of this and NASA also has some interesting research in regard to ocean based formations.
